Anoushka Fernandes is a respected executive leader with over twenty-five years of professional experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.  Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her ability to successfully transform teams from good to great; and to provide calm and steady leadership in the face of chaotic situations.  She has supported teams to successfully navigate their way through physical and digital threats, disaster recovery, and organizational conflict.

Some of Anoushka’s key accomplishments-to-date include:

  • Co-leading a major technology and change management project which transformed a public sector client’s contact centres and the over 5 million clients they serve each year.  Anoushka created, rallied senior decision-makers around, and delivered the vision to operate over 50 diverse operations on a single, artificial intelligence-enabled, telephony and case management platform to consistently improve the client experience.
  • Collaborative development of formal governance models to enable the long-term success of multiple Edmonton-based non-profit organizations.  In all cases, these models served to resolve high-stakes conflicts and enabled the resumption of previously-challenged revenue streams and volunteer development pipelines.
  • The development of easy-to-implement systems for multiple workplaces across Alberta in the areas of new staff onboarding, occupational health and safety management, leadership skills development, staff communication/recognition, and proactive leadership evaluation by front-line staff.  As a result, many teams experienced measurable increases in staff engagement survey scores.

Based in her hometown of Edmonton, Anoushka founded Marcelino Marise Solutions in 2023.  The company name pays tribute to her father and first teacher in entrepreneurship, holding firm to one’s values, and overcoming adversity. Anoushka holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Native Studies from the University of Alberta, and is a Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner.  In addition, she has received formal training in Crucial Conversations and group facilitation methods.
